The core features are free forever: visual dashboard, quick link scan, the Shredder cleanup tool, empty-folder cleanup, and duplicate detection. AI auto-categorization and smart tagging are Pro features: a $9.9 one-time purchase for a lifetime license.
No. All bookmark processing happens locally inside the Chrome extension — your bookmarks are never sent to the developer's servers, sold, or shared. If you use the Pro AI features, only bookmark titles and URLs are sent to the AI provider you configured with your own API key. No browsing history, no personal data.
Zombie bookmarks are bookmarks you haven't visited in 180+ days (adjustable in settings). They sit in your library going stale. Bookmark Lab finds them so you can archive or delete them in bulk.
A Pro feature. The AI reads each bookmark's title and URL and suggests folders and tags (e.g. Tech, Reading, Work). You bring your own API key — supported providers: OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Qwen, Kimi, DeepSeek, or any custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Custom folder rules are supported.
A 0–100 score summarizing your library's condition: healthy bookmarks count fully, zombies half, dead links zero, divided by the total. The visual dashboard breaks it down with interactive charts.
Yes. The one-click cleaner ("The Shredder") scans for broken URLs (404/500), merges duplicate bookmarks, and clears empty folders. Nothing is deleted without your review — you select items and confirm first.
No. Every cleaner shows exactly what it found first; you select the items and confirm before anything is removed.
Chrome, via the Chrome Web Store. The interface is available in 8 languages.
Raindrop.io and Pocket are cloud read-later services. Bookmark Lab is a local-first Chrome extension focused on organizing and cleaning the bookmarks you already have — AI categorization, dead-link cleanup, and duplicate merging, with your data staying on your device.
